You are here:

A CM or ranking LotD member, upon wishing to stop playing a game for any reason or will be absent for longer than thirty days, but still desires to game with the guild in the future must petition his Chapter GM in the appropriate forum for permission to go inactive. The chapter GM will review the member’s performance, and will make a decision. If the CGM rejects the petition for inactivity, the member may appeal the RCoD who will review the situation and provide a final ruling.

CMs who have official inactive status will lose access to all chapter forums, and their membership category will be switched to “Inactive”. The only private forum they will retain access to will be the private “Chapter Member News & Beta” forum until they actively join another chapter. Ranking LotD members will be able to view core LotD forums, but not individual chapter forums.

While inactive, a member may NOT join another guild on any server in the game he went inactive from. The member is also prohibited from joining another guild in a game where LotD has a chapter presence. Violation of this clause shall result in immediate dismissal from the chapter and guild.

If a member does not petition for inactive status, but simply disappears for longer than thirty days, he shall be removed from the guild. Those in prior good standing wishing to rejoin the guild in the same game may do so at the discretion of the CGM. Those wishing to join the guild in another game must reapply and repeat any provisional term.

RCoD Requirements:

  • Must be active on discord and at least ONE of the following:
  • Participating in a current LotD project. (TBD)
  • Managing a LotD Resource (guild funds, website, discord etc.)
  • Actively participating in a chapter

  • Active on the leadership team of a current chapter.

Activity Evaluations:

Each year a warlord must reapply for their rank by the 3rd week of January each calendar year.  If a warlord has attained the rank after May in a given Calendar year, they do not need to submit a retention application until the following calendar year.  A warlord may choose to not reapply and retain the rank of Lord, or petition to become an Elder.

Elders will consider these renewals on a yearly, individual basis each January.  A simple majority vote by Elders is required for a Warlord to retain their rank.  The application should be a simple list of things you did with the guild during the year and that you want to retain the rank of Warlord.

If a Warlord does not obtain the necessary votes they retain the rank of Lord and may petition for Warlord again if they so choose the next calendar year.

If not meeting set requirements then the Elder is moved to Inactive Elder status.

If set to inactive, current Elders can after 6 months vote to reinstate the inactive Elder in question.  This is a case by case basis and may be shortened or extended based off of current needs or inactive Elders performance.

If elder is going to require a leave of absence greater than 4 months (health problems, deployment, etc.) they can declare themselves inactive and return at their own discretion within 1 ½ year’s.  Longer leave of absence will follow same protocol as above.
